You can also use a stamp in place of the picture.
Using your pens, glitter, confetti, whatever you wish, decorate around your picture or stamp.
Let dry for about an hour.
Using your tape (clear is preferable), cover the 2 cm margin at the top of the bookmark (on both sides) then use the hole punch to create a hole being sure NOT to get too close to the top.
Creating the tassel:

Using a small wood dowel or a very narrow pencil, or some other round object, cut about 15 pieces of the embroidery floss to the same length. Cut another piece about 3 inches longer. Take the 15 pieces and drape them over the dowel. Use the larger piece to tie the strands together UNDER the dowel forming a loop.....
(The original includes a hand-drawn illustration labeled "dowel" and "thread.")

Take another piece of thread and cut it about 6 inches. Tie the two ends together forming a 3-inch long strand.

Take the tassel on the dowel and gently slip it off. Slip the 3-inch thread half through the loop and through the other half, forming a hanging tassel. Gently move the tassel knot up against the thread.

Slip the loose end into the punched hole at the top of the bookmark. Take the tasseled end and slip it through the loop securing it to the bookmark.
